The Chestnut Man Storyline
Two detectives are on the hunt for a killer linked to a politician’s missing child, based on a chestnut figurine found at the scene of a gruesome murder. Thulin and his new far-fetched partner Hess investigate a terrible murder. Politician Rosa Hartung returns to work after the disappearance of her daughter. Hess uses unusual methods to prove a theory of the Hartung case. Detectives are chasing down a lead on a message.
Rosa encounters another threat. Having obtained a clue to a possible target with the disturbing discovery they have made, Thulin and Hess make a risky plan to lure the killer into a trap. While the threats against Rosa turn terrifying, detectives find inconsistencies as they delve deeper into the Kristine Hartung investigation. Unanswered questions about their case continue to puzzle Thulin and Hess. Rosa’s career is turned upside down when a childhood memory comes to light. In the Chestnut Man mystery, the stones begin to fall into place and the perpetrator’s goal becomes clear, while Thulin and Hess struggle to save the lives of the innocent.
