The Girl from Oslo Synopsis
We meet Alexandra (Alex) and Karl, whose lives are turned upside down by a phone call from Jerusalem. Their daughter Pia (24) is missing and the parents find themselves in total darkness, which is a parent’s worst case scenario. Has he disappeared? Why was he there in the first place? Desperately looking for the answers they need, they go to Israel, where Alex calls an old friend, Arik, for help. They first met 26 years ago during the Oslo Accords, and Arik has since decimated the political hierarchy in his home country.
Maybe he can help? Fearing the worst, the parents call Pia both in Israel and in Gaza, where Layla, another friend of Alex’s from the Oslo Accords, is based. There’s still no sign of Pia when time starts to get mixed up. That is, until you get a video. In the video, Pia and two Israelis stand surrounded by ISIS soldiers in orange prison overalls in a harsh desert landscape. Their wishes? Simple. Release 11 ISIS prisoners from Israel and 1 from Norway, or see your daughter executed.
