The Lost Daughter was first screened at the Venice Film Festival on 2 September 2021. Then, after being shown at many festivals, it began to be shown in cinemas in many countries starting from December 16. The film will now be released via Netflix, which will be available worldwide starting on December 31, 2021. It is based on the book of the same name by Elena Ferrante.

The Lost Daughter Synopsis
It tells the story of a woman who begins to face her past when she meets a young mother on a vacation where she is on vacation alone. Leda, an English teacher, is a single mother who devotes herself to her job and her children. When her daughters leave home to be with their father, Leda feels extremely lonely. Wanting to get away from this feeling, Leda decides to take a vacation in a small coastal town in southern Italy. However, after a few days of calm and quiet, an uncomfortable family that Leda met causes Leda to have to face her past.
